Transport for NSW

Sydney is undergoing infrastructure transformation. From new highways, underground tunnels, a driverless metro system and after being removed more than half a century ago, trams (light rail) being reintroduced to the city. The latter is what I have been heavily involved in. Sydney Light Rail is a $4.1 billion project that will run for 12 kilometres, encompassing 19 stops.

Over a two-year period I was asked by Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW) to profile in photography and words, over 40 businesses that took in the light rail route. Most of these businesses had been doing it tough because the public were frequenting them less due to the surrounding construction. The dedicated websites the government asked me to create publicised the fact these businesses of all sizes and industries were very much still open and needing everyone’s support.

The example given is for the Kensington and Kingsford area.
