Over 100 years of Škoda

I’m a big fan of Monty Python, and marvel at Terry Gilliam’s brilliant and bizarre animations. Using Mr. Gilliam’s genius as inspiration, I attempted to channel some of his uniqueness into presenting car manufacturer Škoda to Australian audiences.

Once upon a time Škoda was a state-owned brand in then communist Czechoslovakia, where cars were built by prison inmates. Then for years after it was the butt of copious jokes. One being, what do you call a Škoda at the top of the hill? A miracle.

But a bit like communism (sort of), those jokes are history, and a new dawn emerged when Škoda was purchased by Volkswagen.
